MachineTrak - The MicroTex CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) - Spare Parts InventoryParts Inventory MachineTrak includes a complete system for storing, managing and re-stocking your spare parts inventory. Each part record includes: number in stock, minimum stock (re-order point), a restock quantity (for automatic re-ordering), the current quantity on order and the quantity currently in use for all machines. Parts may be quantified as "Each," "Dozen," "Box," or any other unit-of-measure you wish to use. There are also fields for manufacturer, standard cost, location and specifications. For security reasons, the part inventory maintenance system is divided into separate procedures for reviewing, receiving, issuing, or adjusting inventory on-hand. In this way, the system supervisor can control which employees can issue or dispose of parts, stock parts, order parts, or adjust parts quantities based on physical inventories. Access is controlled through an easy to use but very effective password authentication system, and the supervisor can easily change the access permissions of any employee at any time. MachineTrak provides a method of tracking all changes in inventory, which can be used to determine when and why the on-hand quantity of any part ever changed, and who recorded the transaction. Whenever a part is issued for maintenance or added to the current stock, a record is automatically created in the parts transactions history file. This also occurs when the on-hand quantity of a part is adjusted following a physical inventory. MachineTrak's optional bar-code module supports printing bar code labels for parts, assets and employees, which can then be used to: scan parts into inventory when received from vendors; scan parts out of inventory for maintenance; scan parts during a physical inventory. MachineTrak allows the construction of components lists for assets, and the inventory module uses this information to automatically calculate the minimum stock quantities needed for parts; any percentage of the total parts currently in use may be applied to have the program calculate the minimum stock quantities.
